«Breaking News» Girl is smashed in the face and left bloodied by a stray ball struck by US golfer Brooks Koepka

A female fan was left bloodied after a stray ball hit her in the face at the Ryder Cup earlier today.

America golfer Brooks Koepka struck the supporter in the face with a wild shot on the short, par-four sixth hole.

On day one of the Ryder Cup, Koepka had been trying to attempt a monster drive, when the huge swing resulted in the fan taking the full force of the ball.

The fan, whose name and age has not been identified lay on the ground after she was hit by Koepka's ball, at The Golf National in Guyancourt, near Paris.

It has not yet been revealed how seriously injured the fan is, however, images from the fairways show the female with bandages over her eye, and she appeared to be concussed.

Soon after Koepka hit the fan, he rushed over to check her condition and seemed concerned for her welfare.

Before the incident, Koepka had struggled to find his rhythm on the course, which became even more visible after the incident.

Commentators at the ground noticed that the golfer appeared visibly shaken by the incident, which occurred earlier this morning.

Sky Sports commentator Rich Beem said the supporter had 'suffered a nasty injury' after the ball hit her just above the eye.

Glamour on the golf course! Rory's wife and Tiger's girlfriend lead the European and US WAGs as the teams go head-to-head on the first day of the Ryder cup in Paris

The golf WAGs were out in force as the action got underway on the first day of the Ryder Cup this morning.

Rory McIlroy's wife Erica Stoll led the way for team Europe while Tiger Woods' girlfriend Erica Herman represented the US as the golfers teed off in Paris.

They were joined on the course by Grace Barber, the girlfriend of European skipper Thomas Bjorn, and Dustin Johnson's partner Paulina Gretzky.

The women all wrapped up against the autumn chill in branded Ryder Cup padded jackets and team scarves around their necks.

The first day of the action started early this morning with plenty of golf ahead before the finale on Sunday afternoon.

Last night the WAGs supported their husbands and boyfriends at the opening ceremony.

Leading the way was wife of Alex Noren, Jennifer, who showcased her growing baby bump in a tight fitting belted dress as she entered the Saint Quentin-en-Yvelines in the outskirts of Paris.

Following on behind was her pregnant pal Dowd Simpson, wife to Webb Simpson, who cut a chic figure in a black high necked dress.

It was Europe vs US when it came to fashion with the army of European WAGs dressed in white and toting the EU flag compared to the American women who wore black and waved the stars and stripes for their team.

Ahead of the ceremony the European group gathered for a photograph outside the stadium making for a very glamorous line up.

Each of the wives and girlfriends of the 24 players, captains and vice-captains wore a silk scarf in red white and blue colours in honour of the host nation's flag.

They were all dressed in a navy coat and asked to wear nude shoes for the photo call, with each of the women also sporting a gold ribbon, commonly associated with raising awareness of childhood cancer.

Of course no WAG is complete without a pair of shades with not one woman going without their sunglasses for today's event.

Former Premier League star David Ginola played host to a Ryder Cup opening ceremony on Thursday night alongside English band Kaiser Chiefs who played in front of a partisan European crowd before The Patrouille de France flew over.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
