«Breaking News» Former Arsenal striker Aliadiere reveals advice to new boy Guendouzi

Promising midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, 19,  turned down some of Europe's biggest clubs this summer includingParis Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund in favour of Arsenal, following the advice of former Gunner Jeremie Aliadiere.

Guendouzi and Aliadiere played together for Lorient a few of years ago in Ligue 1 and the latter immediately noticed the sheer talent of the teenager.

Aliadiere told Goal that he himself recommended that Guendouzi joined Arsenal this summer due to theLondon club's track record with giving young players a chance in the first team.

The French forward knows the opportunities for young players at Arsenal better than anyone as he joined the club at just 16-years of age before staying at the club for six years; with a few loan spells in between.

Now retired, Aliadiere revealed what he told Guendouzi: 'I knew when I first saw him that he had something special and that a lot of clubs would be after him.

'I said to him that for his development Arsenal would definitely be the right place for him. You can go to big clubs and never get a chance but Arsenal always give a chance to their young players.'

Appearances: 4

Minutes: 306

Goals: 0

Assists: 0

It appears Guendouzi made the correct decision as he has started all four of Arsenal's Premier League matches so far. He played the full 90 minutes against both Manchester City and Chelsea and never looked out of place.

With Arsene Wenger leaving the club after 22 years, there was no guarantee that new boss Unai Emery would keep the same youth policy but the Spaniard has clearly been impressed by the 19-year-old, so much so that he has kept £26million signing Lucas Torreira out of the team.

Aliadiere himself admitted that even he didn't expect Guendouzi to have this much game time so soon: 'To be honest yes I have been surprised [that Guendouzi has started so many games], I thought it would take him a bit of time to adapt but he’s such a confident lad.

'When I was playing with him at Lorient you could see that, on top of having the talent, he’s just so confident in himself.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
