«Breaking News» Eugenie hires Beckhams' catering manager

The man throwing Princess Eugenie's wedding dinner is the 'party planner to the stars' behind the Beckhams' nuptials, it has emerged.

Peregrine Armstrong-Jones, half-brother of the late Lord Snowdon, is said to have been hired by Prince Andrew to organise the lavish three-course meal for guests at St. George's Hall following the ceremony on October 12.

His upmarket events company, Bentley's, boasts 'a client list that encompasses royalty, Hollywood A-listers and respected professionals from all over the world' according to its website - including the likes of Elton John and Albert of Monaco.

Launched in 1984, they have also organised the nuptials on Zara and Mike Tindall, Autumn and Peter Phillips, and Petra Ecclestone and James Stunt.

Touch of sparkle: Princess Eugenie (left, with fiancé Jack Brooksbank in January) is reported to have hired the 'party planner to the stars' who organised the 1999 nuptials of David and Victoria Beckham (right, in August)

But perhaps their biggest - and most memorable - coup was the blingtastic wedding of Victoria and David Beckham in July 1999, which saw the couple exchange vows in front of a star-studded congregation at Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin.

Old Etonian Peregrine, 58, famously put the Beckhams on purple thrones as they posed for their now-infamous wedding portraits.

The football ace and pop star, dressed in a Vera Wang gown and miniature crown, had their flower girls dressed as angels and wowed guests with doves and rose petals.

Speculation has been rife as to who will design Eugenie's dress, but royal protocol means the bride is unlikely to opt for a strapless number.

The Yorks are reported to have forked out an eye-watering £100,000 on a three-course dinner, in addition to a marquee and glass dancefloor for the champagne evening reception at the Royal Lodge, the family's home in Windsor.

A source told the Mail last week: ‘The evening party will be the party to end all others. Bentley’s have done the Yorks’ birthday parties and they trust Peregrine for his expertise and discretion.'

Armstrong-Jones's half brother, Lord Snowdon, was famously married to Princess Margaret for 18 years before their acrimonious divorce in 1978.

But a source told the Mail this week that the 'family link' is one of the reasons Eugenie decided to draft in Peregrine for her big day.

Bentley's previous ventures include everything from 'a decadent Moulin Rouge birthday party, to an Oriental extravaganza [and] a thrilling Bond mission weekend on the Gstaad ski slopes,' according to its website.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
