«Breaking News» Emmy Awards: Benedict Cumberbatch poses with wife Sophie Hunter

He is nominated for Best Actor at the Emmy's for his role in Showtime's Patrick Melrose.

And Benedict Cumberbatch ensured he looked every inch the leading man as he arrived at the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Monday.

The Doctor Strange actor, 42, cut a dapper figure in a sharply tailored suit as he posed alongside his stunning wife of three years, Sophie Hunter, 40.

Benedict paired his three-piece suit with smart patent brogues and showed off his newly-shaved haircut.

Sophie, meanwhile, looked showstopping in a canary-yellow column gown with a stylish funnel neckline.

Letting the statement gown do all the talking, she accessorised simply with jade-encrusted earrings and a matching ring.

The brunette beauty swept her glossy dark hair into a simple up-do and plumped her pout with a slick of scarlet lipstick.

The couple, who have been married for three years and have two children, looked as smitten as ever as they shared the red carpet.

Benedict may be nominated tonight, but back in 2014 he won a gong for his role in Sherlock.

In Patrick Melrose, Cumberbatch played a man who suffered a traumatic and abusive childhood and ends up battling addiction and substance abuse in New York City.

The drama mini-series was based on the semi-autobiographical novels by Edward St. Aubyn from the 1980s through early 2000s.

It's the actor's sixth outstanding lead actor Emmy nod - he's been nominated four times for Sherlock, with one win, and once for the British drama series Parade's End.

Benedict's latest starring role in the new Channel 4 drama Brexit, follows the data-driven political campaign for Brexit.

The one-off will explore the 'myriad tactics employed to swing one of the most surprising referendum results in living memory'.

The Crown’s John Heffernan will play political lobbyist Matthew Elliott, Call the Midwife’s Liz White will star as Mary Wakefield – a journalist and Mr Cummings’s wife – and Poldark’s Kyle Soller will take the role of Zack Massingham, founder of a data technology company that helped target voters through social media.

The project was announced in May amid controversy over the political impact of data-mining, with investigations examining possible links between Vote Leave's campaign and data companies.

The Doctor Strange actor, 42, cut a dapper figure ...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
