«Breaking News» Twitch user accidentally live-streamed himself sleeping

A 36-year-old gamer was startled to wake up and realize that hundreds of people were watching him sleep online.

Jesse, who is thought to be based in the US, broadcasts himself on Twitch, a platform where people live-stream themselves playing video games.

But recently, Jesse fell asleep during the middle of a live-stream without turning off the camera — and continued to snooze as hundreds of people tune in, awaiting the moment he would wake up and realize what happened.

For the unfamiliar, there's actually a large market for video game live-streams. Popular players have millions of fans who like to watch them play video games, with some of Twitch's most in-demand streamers — like TSM_Myth and Ninja — making hundreds of thousands of dollars a month.

Jesse is much more small potatoes, but he did manage to rack up much more in donations with his sleeping live-stream.

'I usually stream games,' Jesse told Bored Panda. 'But I like to have a chill streaming from my couch stream once in a while where people can just come by and hang out and just have a conversation.'

During the stream in question, Jesse got tired — and without meaning to, he dozed off.

'Prior to me falling asleep, the session had been going just like any other,' he said 'A few visits from people and I’m not sure if anyone actually chatted.'

After he passed out, viewers started tuning in and commenting on the stream, laughing about the fact that he was sleeping.

Sense of humor: He seemed to find the whole thing funny — particularly since the video has now gone viral

'I've been up since 12 am for him, it's 2 am now,' wrote one.

'Wake up dude you stopped breathing,' wrote another.

One of them had the thought to start recording the video, and caught the exact moment Jesse woke up.

He came to with a jolt, before slowly turning his head toward the camera. At first he looked confused, trying to figure out what was going on.

Then, he recognized that he had been streaming, and an amused smile spread across his face.

'Hi, guys,' he later said. 'Hi, folks. My nap was good. I’m in shock. Yes, I am. There are 200 and f***ing 13 people here. Holy s**t. Why?'

Though 200 people had been watching it live, the recording quickly went viral and has been viewed over two million times so far.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
