«Breaking News» Trump turns on Fox News, says journos worse than 'Fake News CNN, NBC'

President Trump has slammed two reporters from his favorite outlet, Fox News, for having 'even less understanding’ of the fight over his border wall than ‘Fake News CNN and NBC!’

The President ripped into White House Correspondent John Roberts and Washington Correspondent Gillian Turner in a tweet on Sunday after their segment on the fight for funds during the government shutdown.

‘Never thought I’d say this but I think @johnrobertsFox and @GillianHTurner @FoxNews have even less understanding of the Wall negotiations than the folks at FAKE NEWS CNN & NBC!’ the President tweeted on Sunday.

He added: ‘Look to final results! Don’t know how my poll numbers are so good, especially up 19% with Hispanics?’

Trump did not specify which aspects of the commentary by the Fox News correspondents he found problematic.

Roberts filled in for Chris Wallace as host on the Fox News Sunday show, which airs live every Sunday afternoon on the over-the-air Fox network.

Trump's tweet critical of Roberts and Gillian was posted after 8pm Eastern time, which likely means the President watched a taping of the show which is replayed on the Fox News Channel on cable.

Trump has been known to call in to his favorite Fox News personalities who are solely on the opinion side of the network, including Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Jeanine Pirro, and the hosts of Fox & Friends.

In a follow-up tweet, Trump wrote: ‘After all that I have done for the Military, our great Veterans, Judges (99), Justices (2), Tax & Regulation Cuts, the Economy, Energy, Trade & MUCH MORE, does anybody really think I won’t build the WALL?

He also worked at CNN before joining the Rupert Murdoch-owned cable channel Fox News in 2011.

Roberts has been Fox News' Chief White House correspondent since early 2017.

Turner joined Fox News as a contributor in 2014. Before that, she worked in the National Security Council under Presidents Bush and Obama, according to her Twitter bio.

Since running for office, Trump has waged a public relations war against news outlets whose reporting he doesn't like - among them CNN, NBC News, and others.

Trump and his allies have branded those news organizations as 'fake news' in an attempt to discredit their reporting.

It should be noted that Roberts and Turner work on the news-gathering side of the Fox News operation, which is separate from the opinion-commentary department.

Even Trump's most ardent supporters say that the President 'caved' in agreeing to reopen the government even though he did not receive any funding for his planned border wall.

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter called Trump the 'biggest wimp' in the history of the office following his concession on Friday.

Coulter, an immigration hawk and early Trump supporter, reacted with swift fury to Trump's announcement on Friday that he would reopen the government for three weeks without any commitment from Congress to fund a southern border wall.

'Good news for George Herbert Walker Bush: As of today, he is no longer the biggest wimp ever to serve as President of the United States,' Coulter wrote on Twitter.

Bush, who died in November aged 94, was widely ridiculed in office for going back on his 'read my lips' vow not to raise taxes.

Among the hardest core of Trump's base, many had expected the President to push forward with declaring a national emergency in order to build the wall, a proposal he had floated for weeks.

Thursday's deal to reopen government came as a shock to this group and a potential blow to Trump's reelection chances.

Taking to Twitter, Trump defended his move and insisted that an emergency declaration was still on the table if Democrats in Congress do not cut a deal to fund the border wall before the three-week deadline.

Couler declared that Trump backing down from his wall demand to end the shutdown made him an even bigger 'wimp' than George HW Bush, who famously reneged on a tax promise

'I wish people would read or listen to my words on the Border Wall. This was in no way a concession. It was taking care of millions of people who were getting badly hurt by the Shutdown with the understanding that in 21 days, if no deal is done, it’s off to the races!' Trump wrote on Friday night.

He continued to battle base backlash on Saturday morning, writing: '21 days goes very quickly. Negotiations with Democrats will start immediately. Will not be easy to make a deal, both parties very dug in. The case for National Security has been greatly enhanced by what has been happening at the Border & through dialogue. We will build the Wall!'

In her interview with HBO's Bill Maher on Friday, Coulter said that all of her concerns about Trump would be forgiven if the wall gets built.

'Just keep your promises and I'm right back in your camp,' she said.

Otherwise, speculation has circulated that Coulter might mount a primary campaign against Trump.

Asked about the possibility by Maher, Coulter joked: 'I'm against women working, so I can't.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
