Donald Trump has hit out at Director of Intelligence Dan Coats after his testimony at Capitol Hill on Tuesday.
White House insiders told CNN that the President ranted as heard that intelligence officials had contradicted him, after Coats told the Senate Intelligence Committee North Korea was 'unlikely to give up its nuclear weapons'.
Coates and other intelligence officials also claimed the Iran nuclear deal was working well in their testimonies on Tuesday.
The President then tweeted on Wednesday morning calling his intelligence chiefs also 'naive' about Iran and saying they need to 'go back to school'.

'The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong! When I became President Iran was making trouble all over the Middle East, and beyond.
'Since ending the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal, they are MUCH different, but a source of potential danger and conflict. They are testing Rockets (last week) and more, and are coming very close to the edge.
'There economy is now crashing, which is the only thing holding them back. Be careful of Iran. Perhaps Intelligence should go back to school!'
Soon after his Twitter outburst, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer criticized the President and called on Coats to stage an intervention with the President.
'It's past time for U.S. Intelligence Community leaders to stage an intervention with Donald Trump,' Schumer wrote alongside a picture of a letter sent to Coats' office.

Coats sparked anger by telling the committee that North Korea was unlikely to give up its nuclear weapons
Within the letter Schumer said he believed CIA Director Gina Haspel and FBI Director Christopher Wray, who also testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee Wednesday, should immediately meet with the President.
'President Trump's criticism of the testimony you and other intelligence leaders provided to Congress yesterday was extraordinarily inappropriate,' Schumer wrote to Coats.
'I believe it is incumbent on you, Director Wray and Director Haspel to impress upon him how critically important it is for him to join you and the leadership of our Intelligence Community in speaking with a unified and accurate voice about national security threats.'
The president's response to his chiefs testimony before the Senate a day earlier was an unprecedented Twitter dressing down of America's top intelligence officials, where he called them 'extremely passive and naive,' said they were flat out 'wrong' on Iran.

Trump spent yesterday morning in a defensive twitter storm about his foreign policy initiatives after Coats contradicted his claim of success after his summit with Kim Jong-Un.
CIA director Gina Haspel also warned ISIS was still dangerous after Trump claimed they had been beaten.
Coats appeared to contradict that when he said Tehran was complying with the deal - even after Trump announced America's withdrawal from it in May.
'We do not believe Iran is currently undertaking activities we judge necessary to produce a nuclear device,' he said.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
