«Breaking News» Identical twins separated as babies find each other thanks to Three Identical Srangers

Identical twin sisters who were separated at birth found each other 54 years later after one of them watched the hit documentary Three Identical Strangers.

Michele Mordkoff was struck when she heard about the three identical brothers who were separated at birth as part of a 'nature versus nurture' twin study.

The triplets - David Kellman, Eddy Galland, and Bobby Shafran - were adopted from the very same Jewish agency in New York that she had been.

After watching the film, Michele felt propelled to take a DNA test. Which is exactly how she found out about her twin Allison Kanter.

Michele and Allison were just five months old when they were both adopted by families in New York City, two days apart, in October 1964.

Neither family was aware that the baby girl they adopted had a twin sister. And Michele and Allison wouldn't learn of each other until 54 years later.

'They are just as shocked as we are, if not more,' Michele told CNN

'They felt they were getting full disclosure and information about who we were and what our identity was.'

It was only after watching Three Identical Strangers that Michele learned Louise Wise Services - her adoption agency - had a history of splitting up siblings.

'Something drove me at that point to take the DNA test, it really pushed me over,' she told The Atlantic

Mere weeks later, Michele received her Ancestry.com results and discovered she had an 'immediate family member'.

The match was only identified as 'AK', but the account was managed by a California man named 'Kyle Kanter'.

Michele decided to look him up on Facebook and soon discovered a page belonging to his mother Allison.

That was when she saw her own face staring back at her.

Michele then decided to send Kyle a Facebook message, keeping it 'really low-key'.

'I said, "Hi, I'm adopted, and you matched with me, as well as your mom. Please write me back,'" she told CNN. 'I was tempted to say more, but I didn't think it was right.'

After he received Michele's message, Kyle immediately texted his mom and told her someone had contacted him and said they were related to her.

He then asked Allison to look at her birth certificate number right away.

'I was just shocked. I thought someone had assumed my identity,' Allison said. 'I didn't know what was happening.'

'Then I read him the numbers - the last four numbers - and he said, "Mom...she's your twin sister."'

'I never thought there would be somebody like Michele out there. I was caught by surprise, the rug was pulled out from under me.'

Weeks later, on August 10, 2018, Michele and Allison reunited in New York City.

'I think it was three weeks from the time that I found out I may be a twin to the time where I met Allison, and it felt like three years,' Michele said.

'At one point, I just wanted it to be over - not over, but I wanted to see her, and I wanted to hug her, and tell her that I hope she's okay and that life was good for her.'

The sisters immediately ran to each other and hugged. Then they compared their faces, their arms, and their 'little girl' hands, as Michele called them.

'I really felt like it was a dream,' Michele said of the reunion.

Alison said that her first hope upon meeting her twin would be hearing that they had similar lives growing up.

'I was just hoping that she had a similar life to me, that we grew up in a very similar way, that it would be easy to get to know each other and that there wouldn't be any animosity about how we were raised,' she said.

The sisters said they have since found peace over the fact that they have missed so many milestones in each other's lives.

'I tell Michele that as much as I wish so many other things could have been, I think that we're at a point in our life that it was the right time for us to be together,' Alison said.

'Twenty-five years ago would have been great, but I don't know that I could've handled this at 18, 19 years old - when the boys met each other.'

David, Eddy, and Bobby were all adopted as six-month-old infants by separate families who - as with Allison and Michele - did not know they had twin brothers.

Louise Wise Services and psychiatrists Viola Bernard and Peter Neubauer had the boys intentionally placed with three families with different economic levels - one working-class, one middle-class, and one upper-class.

The sisters were separated by the same adoption agency that split up David Kellman, Eddy Galland, and Bobby Shafran, the triplets at the center of Three Identical Strangers

The three men only discovered each other after one was mistaken for another at a New York college in 1980.

While David, Eddy, and Bobby all became close, they struggled with depression. Eddy committed suicide in 1995.

That same year, the New Yorker published an expose on Neubauer's twin experiment.

'I think that sometimes in life, you have to accept the good and the bad, and this has been good,' Michele said of her and Allison's reunion.

'The disturbing part is why it happened and that things could've been different. But that being said, I'm thrilled.'

'We missed out on what sisters should've had together, but we have each other now for future times together and happy occasions and to support each other.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
