Tonight the BBC will jump on the Veganuary bandwagon by launching its first 'plant-based' cookery series starring Dirty Sanchez stuntman Matt Pritchard as leading restaurants also get in on the act.
As many start the New Year with a month of meals free from animal products, the former TV wild man who once urinated on actor Dolph Lungdren will showcase recipes using meat alternatives such as tofu and seitan.
The show's debut comes as TGI Friday launches its 'bleeding' vegan burger and Greggs announced a 'sausage' roll entirely free of animal products.
Tattooed Pritchard says his hell-raising days are behind him and in one episode he even bakes cakes for the Women's Institute.

The show will air for the first time tonight on the Welsh network but will be available to UK-wide audiences later in the year
'It differs a lot from Dirty Sanchez as you can imagine,' he said. 'If someone had told me I would have had a vegan cookery show I would have laughed all the way to my grave. But life takes you in strange directions.
'It was nice getting in front of a lens and not having to put myself in some life-threatening situation.'
The trained chef, 45, urinated on Rocky IV actor Lundgren when he mixed booze with sleeping tablets and ended up naked on a flight from Amsterdam to Reno.
He has since apologised, saying: 'I'm hoping Dolph will have one of my vegan sausages.'
It's not just Pritchard who's kicking off 2019 with a celebration of plant-based diets - even pasty shop Greggs is in on the act and today announced that its first ever vegan sausage roll has hit the shelves.
Yesterday leading supermarket Waitrose joined in Veganuary as it announced the launched of its Fishless Fingers, made from breaded seaweed tofu with a crispy coating and said to have a subtle fish flavour.

Their participation comes just three months after Waitrose Food magazine's editor quit after he suggested a series about killing vegans while responding to a journalist's pitch for the publication.
William Sitwell told vegan freelancer Selene Nelson that it could feature force-feeding them meat and exposing 'their hypocrisy'.
Nelson told MailOnline she was 'shocked' by his hostile reply to her pitching a 'plant-based meal series' for the supermarket's magazine in October last year.
Veganuary has also enlisted the support of TGI Fridays, which says it has launched a revolutionary vegan burger that even ‘bleeds’.
It is designed to secrete beetroot juice and is made from a mixture of coconut oil, mushrooms, herbs, plant proteins, and spices, and is served in a 100 per cent vegan bun with lettuce, onion and tomato.
The restaurant chain claims the burger ‘answers the prayers of those on a vegetarian, vegan or flexitarian diet’ and that diners will not be able to tell the difference between it and ‘the real thing’.
Dirty Vegan's debut follows the Great British Bake Off's first ever vegan episode in July last year.
Co-host Noel Fielding, 45, suggested contestants try cooking without animal products for one of their challenges and 'producers leapt at the chance to try something different'.
But making cakes without eggs, butter or milk proved to be a disaster for several of the bakers, with both Rahul and Ruby's creations collapsing.
When Bake Off hosted its first vegan episode last year, some of the cakes collapsed in front of viewers' eyes
Fans of the show described footage of the cakes falling apart as 'heartbreaking' while others expressed admiration at the bakers' efforts.
More than 3.5 million (7 per cent) UK residents were listed as vegan in April last year and 14 per cent were vegetarian according to research from Compare the Market.
- Dirty Vegan will air on BBC One Wales tonight at 7.30pm and later in the year on the national network
Link hienalouca.com Interesting to note Looking for an investor or sponsor for a project to grow dinosaurs and relict plants. Requires the sum of investments from 400000$ to 900000$. The exact amount can not say because there are many nuances. It will be necessary to build a small laboratory with certain parameters. To all interested persons please write on an email angocman@gmail.com . It is the scientific project and I do not know whether it is possible to earn on it. The probability of success of the project is approximately 60%. That will be very interesting.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
