«Breaking News» Evan Rachel Wood speaks out 'as a rape survivor' during stirring speech at Women's March

Evan Rachel Wood delivered a stirring speech at the third annual Women's March in Los Angeles this Saturday.

The 31-year-old shared, as seen in a video tweeted by NowThis: 'As a mother, as a rape survivor, as a domestic violence survivor, I am tired.'

'The peaceful weapons for the revolution are the vote, Senate seats, legislation. Our government is no separate from us, but it’s a foundation built by us,' she explained.

The actress said, 'We must remember that we can eject any representative from office without ever firing a weapon. There’s so much I want to say to all the women in this country and all over the world, quite frankly. But first of all, I am proud of all of you for still standing, for still showing up.

'This has not been an easy journey, and I have been right there with you. And as hard as this time has been, I’ve also seen incredible acts of bravery, solidarity and real growth in consciousness, and we’ve done that, together. This is our time,' she said.

Evan, who testified before Congress last year about surviving rape, allowed that 'we still have a long road ahead, but I am committed to fighting for all of us. Even when the darkness seems all-consuming, we have to push through that.'

She continued: 'When you are knocked down, you get back up. Keep getting back up. Now, women are really good at that. We’ve had a lot of practice. But we are tired. I’m tired. As a mother, as a rape survivor, as a domestic violence survivor, I am tired.'

Evan countered: 'But I know that I’m not alone, and neither are you. Look around. None of us are. Women’s rights are all of our rights.

'Women’s rights is not a partisan issue. It affects us all. So thank you so much. Please keep fighting. Please keep standing up, and please know that you are never, ever alone,' said the cover girl.

The Thirteen star wrote on Twitter in 2016: 'Yes. I have been raped. By a significant other while we were together. And on a separate occasion, by the owner of a bar.'

She recalled: 'The first time I was unsure that if it was done by a partner it was in fact still rape, until too late. Also who would believe me. And the second time, I thought it was my fault and that I should have fought back more, but I was scared.

'This was many many years ago and I of course know now neither one was my fault and neither one was ok. This was all before I tried to commit suicide and I’m sure it was one of the many factors.'

While at the march, she was seen mingling with other demonstrators, including Nashville star Connie Britton and singer Ingrid Michaelson.

She was also seen beaming with Lea Thompson, who like Connie and Evan was also booked to speak onstage at the march.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
