«Breaking News» Black Mirror: Bandersnatch's Will Poulter quits Twitter amid 'criticisms'

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch star Will Poulter revealed on Wednesday he is quitting Twitter for his mental health, following the release of the interactive film.

The actor, 25, shared a detailed post with his 362K followers on the social media platform, in which he admitted he will be taking a break from it 'in the interest of his mental health' following negative criticism.

The Hammersmith-born Londoner, who plays video game programmer Colin Ritman in the Netflix movie, wrote: 'In light of my recent experiences I am choosing to take a step back, of sorts, from Twitter.'

'Before I do, I’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everybody who has watched Bandersnatch and for their responses (whatever they may be) to the material we created.

'I accept all criticisms and it’s been a delight to learn that so many of you enjoyed what many people worked very hard to produce!'

Taking a different tone, he continued: 'As we all know there is a balance to be struck in our engagements with social media. There are positives to enjoy and inevitable negatives that are best avoided.

'It's a balance I have struggled with for a while now and in the interest of my mental health I feel the time has come to change my relationship with social media.'

But the Maze Runner star was quick to clarify that he would not be gone for good, as he'll continue to support a number of charitable causes, naming Diana Award's Anti-Bullying Campaign, Leap Confronting Conflict, May Measure, and Blueprint Theatre.

Will explained: 'I don’t want to appear unappreciative of all the amazing support I have received online for which I am genuinely so grateful, nor do I want my disengagement with social media to be at the expense of any of the organisations I am lucky to work with.

'I am privileged to have this platform. I hope that this shift to reduce my personal expression and increase the focus on issues that matter will result in a better outcome for everyone.'

Referencing his Bandersnatch character's belief in there being different timelines, and choices to make, he added: 'This is not the end. Consider it an alternative path.'

This is not the first time the actor has taken a break from social media, as he also hasn't posted on Instagram since June.

Bandersnatch tells the story of Stefan’s descent into insanity after he creates a video-game based on a book of the same name.

The film took two years to make, and varies in length from around 40 minutes to 90 minutes, with numerous ‘choice points’ for viewers to choose from throughout, which make for more than a trillion unique combinations.

The choose-your-own-adventure movie is the first of its kind for Netflix, which has only previously attempted the interactive style in kids’ programs, and comes with five possible endings, according to Variety.

This comes after it was claimed that Netflix confirmed the hotly-anticipated fifth season for Black Mirror was set to be released in 2019.

Buzzfeed TV editor Scott Bryan took to Twitter on Saturday to share the news, as he revealed that video-on-demand platform had informed him a new series would be released soon.

He wrote: 'Netflix has told me that the fifth season of Black Mirror is still to come in 2019. Bandersnatch was not the fifth season, but a standalone interactive film, in case you were wondering.'

Although it has not been officially confirmed by the video-on-demand platform, the creators and producers of the show have consistently been tight-lipped about all of the episodes until they are released to the public.

Link hienalouca.com Interesting to note Looking for an investor or sponsor for a project to grow dinosaurs and relict plants. Requires the sum of investments from 400000$ to 900000$. The exact amount can not say because there are many nuances. It will be necessary to build a small laboratory with certain parameters. To all interested persons please write on an email angocman@gmail.com . It is the scientific project and I do not know whether it is possible to earn on it. The probability of success of the project is approximately 60%. That will be very interesting.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
