«Breaking News» Billionaire tucks into 20,000-calorie burger despite funding study calling for meat consumption cut

A billionaire who urged people not to eat more than a quarter of a bacon rasher a day - in order to save the planet - has taken to Instagram to share a photo of himself tucking into a huge 20,000-calorie burger in Las Vegas.

Norwegian hotel mogul Petter Stordalen, 56, shared the photo just days after he and his wife Gunhild were slammed for jetting around the world in a private plane - despite bankrolling a study on drastically cutting meat consumption.

Mr Stordalen visited the Heart Attack Grill while on a 'business trip to Vegas' and ate an Octuple Bypass Burger, made up of a stack of eight individual beef patties and 20 rashers of bacon.

On Instagram he posted a picture of the burger while poking fun at his vegetarian wife Gunhild.

One photo showed him with the huge burger while another showed him eating a tiny burger, with the caption, 'when I'm with wifey'.

To go along with his post, he wrote: 'Must admit that I felt better after eating wifey's burger than this one. But hey, what happens in Vegas...'.

His wife Gunhild was slammed by critics who pointed out that her globetrotting adventures increase air traffic pollution - a major driver of global warming.

The Norwegian Model-turned-doctor, 40, bankrolled the EAT-Lancet study which controversially unveiled daily quotas such as no more than a 2p-sized beef burgers and a quarter of a chicken breast.

Gunhild shows off her lavish lifestyle on Instagram and, along with her husband, she has posted her holidays such as tree-hugging in Costa Rica, sunbathing in Mexico and meditating in Antibes.

Christopher Snowdon – the head of lifestyle economics at the Institute of Economic Affairs – told the Mirror: 'The hypocrisy of this is breathtaking.

'This is a campaign telling ordinary people they should be eating less than half a rasher of bacon per day for the sake of the environment, while the patron is flying people around the world in private jets creating one enormous carbon footprint.

'This is a classic case of do as I say not as I do. Militant environmentalists can't resist the chance to tell people how to live their lives and demonise everyday items of food. It's a shame they don't hold their financiers to the same standards.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
