«Breaking News» Afghan trafficker boasts of getting 300 migrants into Britain by arranging speedboat crossings

A people smuggler has boasted of getting 300 migrants across the Channel to the UK.

The Afghan fixer named Anam told undercover reporters that he helps set up speedboat crossings to the UK for £6,000 per person in a speedboat.

He said he can also set up the crossing in a riskier three-metre dinghy for the lower price of £2,500.

But he claimed he didn’t take the payments himself - and instead they had to be made via family or friends to an Indian restaurant in west London.

Anam, 28, is based in Calais and said he has already been booted out of the UK twice (pictured: French police clear a migrant camp near Calais Port on January 8, 2019)

He said he could virtually make a guarantee of residency in Britain to would-be migrants because the police ‘never send you back’ even if they ‘catch you’.

Using a British mobile phone to run the illegal operation, he claims to have helped 300 migrants reach these shores.

The investigation comes after Home Secretary Sajid Javid this week pledged to crack down on migrants who cross the Channel in small boats, following a spate of such crossings in December.

In 2018, 504 migrants tried to cross the Channel in small boats, and since January 1, a further 25 have attempted the journey.

Undercover reporters from the Sun newspaper spoke to Anam after receiving a tip-off about a ‘smuggling mafia’ of Afghans and Kurds in a migrant camp at Calais.

They were were directed to two Afghans, called Mazhari and Watan, who vowed: ‘Our agent will get your man to England.’

They took the reporters to Anam, who said: ‘We will find a boat for him.’

He said he works with UK smugglers who, for a £6,000 payment, can arrange for a speedboat to be sent to a pick-up point 60 miles from Calais.

No cash changes hands in France. Instead, migrants have to use UK-based friends or family to hand payment to the restaurant owner in Southall.

Anam said: ‘He just bring the boat and I give the people.’

He claimed to take ‘ten to 20’ at a time, who can easily get to Folkestone in Kent.

He claimed they could stay there even if caught, saying: ‘Really, you just cross the water. Then if police catch you, no problem, they never send you back.’

Anam told the Sun he has previously has lived in Cheltenham, Birmingham and East London.

He also told how an Englishwoman recently charged two migrants £14,000 each to travel in a wooden box in her Range Rover’s converted back seat.

And he said that if the speedboat or dinghy plan failed, he could even guarantee arrival by lorry — claiming he smuggled nine people that way in the fortnight before Christmas.

He said he does this by paying East European truck drivers £3,000 a migrant.

The National Crime Agency said it was investigating the claims by the Sun.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
