The sister of jailed paedophile footballer Adam Johnson kicked off the New Year by tweeting that she looks forward to his release in the coming months.
The 31-year-old ex-Sunderland player is serving a six-year sentence for grooming and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old fan.
He is set to be freed in March, by which point he will have served half of his sentence.
Minutes after the start of 2019 his sister, Faye Johnson, posted 'I can finally say my brother is home this year' followed by two smiling emojis.

Johnson will be released in the spring if the probation service believes he no longer represents a threat of re-offending.
Faye has stuck by Johnson and masterminded two failed bids by his legal team to seek leave to appeal over his conviction for sexual activity with the 15-year-old girl and his six-year prison sentence.
She has previously spoken of her excitement at having him released in separate social media posts.
In March last year she uploaded a photo of her posing with boyfriend Kamil Didi to Facebook before an evening's drinking near her home in Castle Eden, County Durham.
A friend wrote: 'Won't be long before Adam is in the picture with you', to which Faye replied: 'I can't wait.'
Months before she uploaded a picture of Johnson hold her son on Twitter with the caption: 'Not long till we have him home where he belongs'.
It seems unlikely that Johnson will return to UK football. There were rumours that he hoped to sign for Hartlepool United but the club has since distanced itself from the claim.
The footballer, who earned £60,000-a-week, has a daughter with his former girlfriend Stacey Flouders, with whom he lived with in a £2million County Durham property before his conviction.
When he was first jailed at Bradford Crown Court he was initially sent to Armley Prison, Leeds, but later transferred to HMP Moorland in South Yorkshire. The Category C jail as prison officials feared for his safety as a high-profile sex offender.

Moorland is one of the UK's most modern prisons and inmates have access to an all-weather football pitch, a games room and a gym.
Most of the inmates have their own rooms with a toilet and some even have access to a PlayStation.
He is reportedly on a segregated wing inside the jail where low-risk sex offenders are held.
His sister's tweet comes after the ex-England winger and Manchester City player was said to have booked a golfing break with his friends for when he is released.
One friend of Johnson told the Daily Star in October: 'Adam and the lads have already signed up for a trip in May to the Portuguese resort of Amendoeira for a long weekend.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
