«Breaking News» Why Kate Middleton always sports new hairstyle after maternity leave

The Duchess of Cambridge returned from maternity leave in style yesterday, looking impeccable in casual chic and a subtle but stunning new hairstyle.

Kate, 36, wore her brunette locks in a slightly sleeker, straighter style than the bouncy curls she usually favours, and it's not the first time the Duchess has made her comeback sporting a new look.

She also changed up her hairstyle when she resumed royal duties after having Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and according to celebrity hairdresser James Johnson it's Kate's way of reasserting herself.

'Often when having a child, so many women want to feel refreshed and empowered again,' he told Femail.

'Having spent nine months carrying and feeling out the ordinary, women are often desperate to feel new again.

'A great way to do this is with a fresh hairstyle, including a colour you’ve been waiting all pregnancy for.'

Some women avoid colouring their hair during pregnancy as a precaution, while others find their locks react differently to dye while they're expecting and they don't get the same results.

'Kate’s a great example of someone coming back looking greater than ever,' James added. 'From experience I feel new mums have more confidence than ever with trying new looks out after birth in a way of re-inventing themselves.

'With a fresh hair cut and colour each time she comes back from maternity leave,  Kate takes the standard of "mum goals" to a new level.'

MATERNITY LEAVE ONE: PRINCE GEORGE

Before she gave birth to her first child Prince George in July 2013, Kate attended Trooping The Colour wearing her hair in her go-to style - in bouncy curls tumbling over her shoulders.

She carried out her first official duty just a month later when she launched the Ring O'Fire Anglesey Costal Ultra Marathon, sporting a new look.

'When Kate returned to work, she appeared with noticeably lighter hair styled in much tighter curls to her usual look,' James said.

'Often with warm undertones, lifting the hair lighter will expose more golden pigments within the hair. This can be done naturally or through sunlight abroad.'

MATERNITY LEAVE TWO: PRINCESS CHARLOTTE

Before having her daughter, the Duchess visited the Stephen Lawrence Centre in London in March 2015 sporting particularly voluminous curls.

For her first day back no the job in September 2015, she visited the Anna Freud Centre showcasing a dramatically different look that was much sleeker than her usual style.

'After giving birth to Princess Charlotte, Kate returned to royal duties with a parted fringe,' James commented.

'With a topped up warm gloss on the hair too, her post baby hair shine was unreal.

MATERNITY LEAVE THREE: PRINCE LOUIS

Kate took maternity leave in March this year, wrapping up her royal duties with a visit to the Copperbox Arena in London to meet Commonwealth Games hopefuls.

Yesterday, she made a successful return to duties on a visit to the Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden in West London.

'After three births, we’ve seen Kate return this time with a much shorter LOB compared to her other ‘back to work’ hair styles,' James said.

'She’s kept her hair traditional with the bouncy, structured "Kate Middleton" style, continuing her trademark, enviable look.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
