«Breaking News» Teen says a £30 trim at Supercuts left her traumatised

A teenager hoping for a new haircut ahead of a night on the tiles has revealed her shock after a large chunk of her hair was lopped off.

Amy Gallagher, from Bexley in South-east London, paid £30 for the haircut at the Supercuts salon in Orpington, Kent.

While she initially felt comfortable with the trim she was given, a late suggestion that the stylist should 'cut a fringe in' left Amy with a makeover she didn't want.

Despite the cut initially going well, the trim took a wrong turn after the 'young' stylist asked Amy if she wanted a fringe...and began lopping away unevenly at the front of her hair

Sharing her story on social media, Amy wrote on Facebook: 'Wow definitely don't recommend Supercuts in Orpington', with a photo showing her lop-sided haircut.

She explained to News Shopper that she hadn't visited the salon before and didn't really realise the extent of the chop until she saw her mum afterwards.

'My mum was like "oh my god". She told me I need to look at my hair because it is really bad.

'They had cut a chunk from the left side. She tried to rearrange my hair to hide it. I went home and noticed and was so upset. I take pride in my hair. I didn’t really wanna go out.'

As Amy looked before she visited the store in Kent; she said she returned the next day to complain about the cut and was told she could have a re-style or a refund

After making the significant cut to the right side of Amy's hair, the 'young' hairdresser then offered to do a 'curly blow dry' to the 19-year-old's once-flowing locks.

Although Amy says she was reluctant to go out with her friends that evening, she still went, only to return to the salon the next day to express her dissatisfaction with the service.

After being offered another turn in the chair to try and repair the damage, Amy refused and was given a full refund by the cut-price salon.

The teenager says she'll be wearing her hair up while the unwanted style grows out.

MailOnline has contacted SuperCuts for comment. A spokesperson said: 'Supercuts is currently investigating and cannot comment further at this stage'

While she initially felt comfortable wit...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
