«Breaking News» MAFS Zoe Hendrix gives her take on romance

She announced her shock split with her partner-of-three-years, Alex Garner, in April.

And Married At First Sight star Zoe Hendrix has spoken candidly about what she believes romance really is.

On Wednesday, the 29-year-old took to Instagram to share a selfie alongside a lengthy caption.

'What if we began all of our romantic relationship revealing all the ways we are completely MAD??? Checking in all of our emotional baggage and sharing all of our weaknesses and fears that we usually hide,' she passionately wrote.

'Can you imagine if dating profiles had descriptions like ''can be stubborn and indecisive'' or ''has a bad habit of avoiding difficult conversations'' or ''has yet to fully unpack abuse/neglect/ issues from childhood''.'

She continued: 'But we don't. That is not how romantic love works. In fact, we start one of life's most important relationships with various white lies and omissions in the hope that our weaknesses will not be uncovered or found.'

Zoe went on to explain that people believe their weaknesses will be healed by true love and thus strive to be the epitome of perfection.

'There are chapters in the book that I found irritating and uncomfortable. Only because of the unescapable (sic) truth they yield. It's brilliant,' she wrote.

'It made me examine my past relationships and what I could have done better or different. But it also reconciled all of the ways in which I was a wonderful partner. This was both empowering, and devastating,' Zoe added. 

Zoe seemed to be referring to her three-year-relationship with former partner, Alex Garner, 32, whom she shares one-year-old daughter Harper-Rose with.

The former couple found love in 2015 on season one of the Channel Nine dating show, which sees strangers 'get married' upon meeting.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
