«Breaking News» Distressing moment lion cub nuzzles and licks a BEER CAN in South African safari park

This is the distressing moment a lion cub nuzzles and licks a sharp beer can which was carelessly littered by a tourist. 

The big cat played with the discarded can for half an hour and was 'lucky not to slice its tongue', according to Steve Haley, who caught the scenes on film.

The tourist, from Cumbria, shot the footage while on a trip to Kruger National Park in South Africa.

The animal was lucky not to slice its tongue or lip as it played with the can for half an hour, according to a witness

He said: 'The cub found the discarded beer can in the riverbed below the bridge I was viewing from and protected it from all the other cubs. 

'I watched this activity for a good half an hour and I guess the can was thrown there by some idiot who has no respect or regard for the wild and the animals that live in this beautiful park. 

'To throw a beer can out of the window anywhere would be a disgrace let alone a sanctuary for wildlife.

Mr Haley, from Cumbria, blasted the culprit, saying: 'The can was thrown there by some idiot who has no respect or regard for the wild and the animals'

'The lion could easily have sliced its lip or tongue but seemed careful as if it knew to go easy on the metal.

'I don't think it is a huge issue with rubbish in Kruger but where there are tourists and visitors there is bound to be litter left behind. 

'I have never witnessed anything like this before and hope I don't again but even so it made for some very interesting viewing and it was nice to see this big cubbie playing so lovingly with his new toy.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
