Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey testified about election meddling and abuse on his platform before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Wednesday, but it was his standing-collar shirt that had people talking.
For his Capitol Hill grilling alongside Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, the 41-year-old tech executive donned a blue Dior Homme mandarin-collar shirt that retails for approximately $396.
While the style is one that he has been sporting for years, some Twitter users couldn't resist using his social media platform to make fun of the collar on his designer button-down, which he wore sans tie.

Quite the statement: Dorsey's overall look, particularly the shirt, garnered a lot of mocking comments on his own website
'What...what kind of shirt collar is that on Dorsey? Is that the casual pastor look? John Buhl tweeted.
'He looks like a sofa-sleeping, freeloading stoner who's [sic] dad made him come to work with him,' another person named Matt commented.
However, Michael de la Merced pointed out that Dorsey has been wearing the standing-collar shirts for years.
'Did Jack Dorsey ever stop wearing those stand-up-collar shirts?' he asked.
Dorsey, who has the Dior Homme button-down in a variety of colors, has been photographed wearing the sleek, modern design to various events, including TV interviews, red carpets, and public appearances.
Joke after joke: Twitter users mercilessly mocked Dorsey's designer button-down
Although it was a designer shirt, many people didn't understand the appeal, with one person writing: '@jack has a billion dollars and look at the shirt he buys himself.'
Others couldn't resist poking fun at his overall look, which included a full beard and a nose ring.
'Can we talk about @jack's vampire shirt collar, confederate soldier beard, and nose-ring combo?' Mike Murphy asked.
'@jack looks like a woodsman who was asked to dress nice for an event,' one person tweeted, while another added: 'He looks like a cult leader.'
Luke Gerwe referenced occultist Anton Szandor LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan, while mocking Dorsey.

People tweeted that he looked like everything from a 'martyr' to a 'full Bond villain' during his testimony.
And Jamie O'Grady even questioned Dorsey's ability to run his company because of his unconventional look.
'TBH, I'm not sure how Jack Dorsey is going to fix Twitter if he can't fix his own shirt collar,' he wrote.
Dorsey told lawmakers on Wednesday that Twitter was 'unprepared and ill-equipped' for the vast campaigns of manipulation that affected social media in the past few years.

He explained that the messaging service was set up to function as a 'public square' but failed to deal with "abuse, harassment, troll armies, propaganda through bots."
'We aren't proud of how that free and open exchange has been weaponized and used to distract and divide people, and our nation,' he told senators.
'We found ourselves unprepared and ill-equipped for the immensity of the problems we've acknowledged.'
Dorsey said Twitter has stepped up its effort to protect what he called a 'healthy public square' but that the challenges were daunting.
Trademark? Dorsey (pictured at the TechCrunch Disrupt even in 2012) has the Dior Homme button-down in a variety of colors
Go-to: The Twitter CEO wore a white one to WSJ Magazine's 'Innovator of the Year Awards' in 2012 (L) and a black version to the Time 100 Gala in 2014 (R)
Variation: Dorsey has also been known to wear the shirt underneath half-zip sweaters, leaving the collar peaking out the top
'We've learned from 2016 and more recently from other nation's elections how to help protect the integrity of our elections,' he said.
'But we all have to think a lot bigger, and decades past today. We must ask the question, "What is Twitter incentivizing people to do (or not do), and why?"
'The answers will lead to tectonic shifts in how Twitter, and our industry, operates. Required changes won't be fast or easy.'
For all the jokes and jabs Dorsey's shirt inspired, there were those who were a fan of the button-down.
'This is a normal collar. Move on, find a new slant,' someone named Grant tweeted.
'It's called fashion sweetie,' another person wrote. 'Look it up.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
