«Breaking News» The X Factor SPOILER: Scarlett Lee returns to impress the new judges

She had a taste of the spotlight after making it to the Six Chair Challenge last year.

And, desperate to make it through to the live shows, Scarlett Lee will return to The X Factor stage in a bid to prove herself to Simon Cowell and his judging panel during Sunday night's episode.

The 20-year-old singing hopeful performs an original song for the panel, which this year features new mentors Louis Tomlinson, Ayda Field and Robbie Williams, but is left panicking when Simon stops her track.

Before showing off her vocals, Simon quips: 'Here comes trouble,' when Scarlett emerges on stage.

'I'm back! Guess who's back again,' she laughs.

The confused panel then ask how the pair know one another, with Simon enthusing: 'Scarlett was on the show last year, who I loved.'

Asked why she thinks she has what it takes the second time around, Scarlett proclaims: 'I feel like it was down to me figuring out myself and this year that I've been given I was grateful to be sent away because I've realised who I am as a person.'

The star then performs a self-penned track that includes the lyrics: 'I feel strong but I am weak/I am happy then I fall to my knees/I feel that I'm not worthy of your love.'

But the judge's don't look convinced by Scarlett's performance, with Simon eventually holding out a hand to stop the song.

'Alright, this is probably the sixth time I've heard you sing. I'm not sure there's going to be another time.

'Just forget me, tell them [pointing out the audience] why you should be on this competition with this next song because that was a four, I want a ten.'

Scarlett worked tirelessly to prove herself during last year's show after receiving mixed reactions from the judges.

The youngster failed to impress in her first audition when she attempted to combine Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing, Charlie Puth's One Call Away and R Kelly's Ignition into one song.

Stopping the medley, Simon told the singer she was 'annoying him' with her attempt to 'ad-lib' and asked her to play it straight with her back-up song, Andra Day's Rise Up.

Scarlett was then given another chance to prove herself and blew the judges away with her powerful rendition of Elton John's Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me at Bootcamp.

But the Six Chair Challenge brought with it the end of the road for Scarlett after former judge Sharon Osbourne chose to send her home following her performance of David Guetta's Without You.

The ...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
