'I grew up listening to the Wet’s and ‘Goodnight Girl’ was in my set list when I started off doing the pubs and clubs 20 years ago.'

The new line-up are set to perform in Glasgow on November 16 and London on November 20.

Marti, 53,  famously left the band in July 2017, to work on his solo career as songwriter and actor.

He told NME at the time: 'I will be spending more time on my solo work – performing concerts, acting and my own songwriting – as an artist I feel a lot more settled in this world.'

'When I started in Wet Wet Wet I gave it 100% of my heart and soul and that’s what it demands and that is also what the fans demand.

'And if I can’t do that because my focus is elsewhere, then this is not fair on the fans or the rest of the guys in the band.'

Marti first quit the band in 1999, but remained on friendly terms with the band, before rejoining in 2004 and then quitting again last year.

Last month, he shared a rare selfie on Twitter, writing: 'Hi everyone, been ages since I last sent you all a message.

'Would like to say I have had some holidays but alas not, have been writing, and writing and yes, doing more writing! So here’s a wee selfie of me songwriting... love to love... Marti…x'

He also shared another post just over a fortnight ago, writing: 'Only 25 days to go until The Private Collection Tour Part 2 kicks off! In the words of the great @neilyoung, "I wanna see you dance again"... love to love x

Meanwhile, Kevin first rose to fame alongside Michelle Heaton in Liberty X, the band which was created on the 2001 series of Popstars.

The band enjoyed great success and were together until 2007 when they split. They reunited in 2012 for two years, for the Big Reunion TV show.

Kevin was later crowned winner of the then BBC show, The Voice in 2016, before the show moved over to ITV.

Kevin, 38, ...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
