Donald Trump has endorsed a new book describing him as the 'most sound-minded' president in history - written by a woman who allegedly falsely claims to have a psychology degree.

Republican pundit Gina Loudon - a member of Trump's 2020 campaign media advisory board who calls herself Dr Gina - supposedly uses science and psychology to back up her arguments in support of the president despite not actually having any formal training in those fields.

The theories employed by Loudon in the new book, Mad Politics: Keeping Your Sanity in a World Gone Crazy, have been widely discredited by licensed psychology experts, according to the Daily Beast

Despite backlash about the book and its author, Trump this week retweeted a post promoting Mad Politics, writing: 'Gina is great!'

Loudon reportedly has a degree in 'human organizations systems' from online school Fielding Graduate University, which is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California.

Her LinkedIn page says the author has a PhD in 'human development', but that claim has not been corroborated. Her website also says she has a PhD but does not specify in which field.

Previously a frequent guest on the Fox News channel, Loudon stopped by Sean Hannity's show earlier this month to advertise her new book while simultaneously slamming what has been referred to as 'Trump derangement syndrome'.

'My book actually uses science and real data and true psychological theory to explain why it is quite possible that this president is the most sound-minded person to every occupy the White House,' she said on Hannity.

The host quickly responded: 'Literally, liberals' heads are going to explode at what you just said.'

Loudon went on to say: 'That's the fun part of the madness is just watching them go crazy over the fact that he's really pretty unfazed by them, and I believe that. And I know him.'

The foreword to Mad Politics is also written by Hannity, who calls Loudon 'America's favorite psychology expert'.

The company that published Mad Politics said it plans to update the cover sleeve and marketing materials after news of Loudon's lack of official credentials broke this week.

'The jacket copy was written by Regnery, not Gina,' Alyssa Cordova, senior director of publicity at Regnery Publishing, told Daily Beast.

'As Human and Organizational Systems is field of psychology, we simplified that simply as 'psychology.' We will be updating with the specific degree description on future printings and online marketing copy to avoid further confusion.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
