«Breaking News» Strictly's Faye Tozer reveals her fitness secret is pole dancing

She topped the leader board with Ashley Roberts on Saturday's first live show of the hit BBC One dance series with an impressive 29 score.

And Faye Tozer has shared her Strictly Come Dancing fitness secrets and uses pole dancing to strengthen her physique. 

The Steps star, 42, has been taking the intense dance and acrobatics lessons for 12 years after learning it for plays Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens in 2006 and The Naked Truth in 2016.

Yet her gruelling pole dancing classes have left her with some rather painful injuries from friction burns, which she has shared on her Instagram in the past.

In one picture, Faye has raw-looking bruising all on the underneath of her arm, while a different snap sees the singer with grazes on her feet. 

Yet not letting the injuries get in her way, the star captioned one photo with 'no pain no gain'.

Talking about her pole dancing lessons and bruising, she told the Mirror: 'I’ve had a training session today and I’m red raw all the way across my inner thighs, and I can see bruising coming up already.

'I’ve been doing a Downward Crucifix and Martini Glass pose. All good fun, but really hard work and it’s painful.

'The better you get, the more friction burns you get.'

The singer impressed the judges with their Cha Cha Cha to Sigala and Paloma Faith's Lullaby and found themselves joint first on the leader board with Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev with a score of 29. 

This week, Faye and Giovanni will be performing the Viennese waltz to It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World by Seal.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
