«Breaking News» Stephen Colbert rips his former boss and 'his guy' Les Moonves

Late Show host Stephen Colbert has bashed his former boss Les Moonves, just weeks after calling the ousted CEO of CBS Corporation 'my guy'.

Colbert lashed out at Moonves at the beginning of his monologue on Monday night's show, the first to air since Moonves stepped down on Sunday amid sexual misconduct allegations.

'As you may have heard, the head of this network, Leslie Moonves, was forced to step down yesterday,' the comic said.

'This came after a second Ronan Farrow exposé featured more women accusing him of sexual harassment and assault. It's never a good sign when you're the subject of a Ronan Farrow double dip.'

The second Farrow report for the New Yorker, published hours before 68-year-old Moonves stepped down, brought to 13 the number of woman who accused him of sexual harassment or sexual assault. Moonves has denied the allegations.

During his monologue, Colbert recounted some of the allegations, including one from a female executive who said that during a meeting in his office, Moonves said that he was going to get a glass of wine, but returned without pants on and 'aroused'.

'Wow, that is an impressive way to open a bottle of wine,' said Colbert.

'The article is extremley disturbing, and I'm not surprised that that's it,' said Colbert.

'Les Mooves is gone - for at least nine months until he does a set at the Comedy Cellar,' he continued, referring to comedian Louis CK's recent return to the stage of the Manhattan club following his own scandal.

In July, Farrow published his first report in the New Yorker detailing the allegations of six women against Moonves.

At the time, Colbert called Moonves 'my guy' while urging the need for accountability.

'Everybody believes in accountability until it's their guy, and, make no mistake, Les Moonves is my guy. He hired me to sit in this chair. He stood behind this show while we were finding our voice. He gave us the time and the resources to succeed. He has stood by us when people were mad at me. And I like working for him.'

Colbert then stated: 'But accountability is meaningless unless it's for everybody. Whether it's for the leader of a network or the leader of the free world.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
