«Breaking News» Pink plastic prank: Newlyweds return from Cancun honeymoon to find Cheshire house wrapped up

A newlywed couple returned from their honeymoon to find their entire house wrapped up in pink plastic.

Jenny, 25, and Jonathan Minger, 24, were shocked to find their home and car completely submerged in the brightly-coloured polythene.

Mr Minger had to use a pen-knife to cut his way into their detached home in Alsager, Cheshire, following the hilarious prank.

Four of his friends decided to surprise the duo as they returned from a two-week honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.

Mrs Minger, who works at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, said: 'We were shocked, it was a big surprise. We weren't expecting it at all.

'We only moved in three months ago. I was like "Oh my goodness!". They couldn't have chosen a better colour to wrap it with.

'It's actually the plastic that Jonathan uses on the farm to promote breast cancer awareness.'

The groom's bosses, James and Dawn Oulton, and his friends Andrew Ripley and Dan Sale spent around four hours putting up the plastic under the cover of darkness before they arrived home at 8am.

The dairy farmer said: 'Apparently it's a thing people do now when you come back from honeymoon, it was a prank.

'I was a bit surprised, but it's a bit of a laugh. It took them four hours to put it all up. All the neighbours came out last night to watch.

'We got back this morning at about 8am and it took about half an hour to get down with a pen knife.

'I had to use my car keys at first though to cut through the plastic around the front door. I'm already thinking about revenge.'

A neighbour was surprised when she when she looked out the window after hearing a commotion outside.

She said: 'They were laughing their heads off as they did it! It's so funny. What a brilliant honeymoon prank.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
