«Breaking News» A mum who gave birth prematurely has revealed her child only measured 40cms

Stranded away from home and running out of money, a Sydney family is in the battle of their lives to save their little baby who was born two months premature and weighing just over a kilogram.

Tiny Sage, who measured just 41cms at birth, is slowly recovering at an ICU unit in The Royal Hobart Hospital with her parents constantly by her side.

Her unexpected birth occurred while her Sydney-based parents Aaron Dam and Alicia Dwyer were visiting Aaron's two-year-old son Bronik who lives in Launceston.

The family holiday, ahead of the birth of their new daughter, should have been a joyful moment, but sadly within days of the couple's arrival, Mr Dam received news his grandfather had died.

The following day, amid plans to attend the funeral, the family faced another emergency when Ms Dwyer's waters broke at 29 weeks and she went into labour and she needed to be airlifted to the closest hospital.

In a desperate bid to save their unborn child's life, the pair raced to Launceston Hospital only to discover the facility wasn't equipped to deal with such a premature birth.

In a race against the clock, Ms Dwyer was rushed onto an emergency flight and airlifted to The Royal Hobart Hospital.

Despite making every effort to stop Ms Dwyer's contractions, little could be done and a decision was made to deliver baby Sage via emergency C-Section.

The tiny girl, born at just 29 weeks, needed immediate medical care and her parents were told she would have to undergo ongoing treatment and constant monitoring over the next two months.

Despite the fact the family hail from Sydney, there's no likelihood of a return until their baby is stronger.

It's a stressful situation for the family who've had to put their lives, and jobs, on hold in order to manage the emergency.

To help a Go Fund Me page has been set up by Sage's aunt Ally. It aims to raise money to help support the family while they are keeping vigil by their child's side.

The goal is to raise $12,000 to cover accommodation, food and the growing medical expenses.

'The funds they have personally saved up are running out fast; health care and Medicare can only cover so much,' a statement on the fundraising page reads.

'Aaron and Alicia are proud people and would never ask for help; so I am. I'm asking on their behalf for help. Any form of donation would be greatly received no matter how small or large.'

Although Sage has only been in ICU for a few weeks, she is growing stronger each day, according to information on Go Fund Me.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
