«Breaking News» Mississippi homecoming queen boots game-winning extra point

One Mississippi high school senior had to quickly discard her crown after being named homecoming queen - and put on a football helmet.

Kaylee Foster was crowned homecoming queen of Ocean Springs High School before Friday night's football game.

She then put on her football uniform and later kicked the winning extra point to lead her team to a 13-12 victory over George County High School, local news outlets reported.

Foster kicked two field goals earlier, giving her a majority of the team's points.

'I really don't have any words,' Foster told The Mississippi Press as she stood on the field in her football uniform while wearing her queen's tiara.

'This has just been so wonderful. I love football and I love Ocean Springs.'

Asked whether she was more nervous before the homecoming queen announcement or before her kick, she said: 'I was pretty sure I wasn't going to be homecoming queen, but I was pretty sure I was going to make that kick.'

'I'd like to check the whole country and see if it's ever happened before,' her coach, Ryan Ross, said of Foster making the game-winning kick hours after being crowned homecoming queen.

'It certainly makes for a memorable weekend for the whole team, but especially Kaylee.

'It's a big night for her. I'm proud of her and I'm proud of the team.'

After the game, Foster said that a father who watched the game was told by his 9-year-old daughter: 'That's the kind of girl I want to be.'

'Oh my goodness,' Foster said.

'I love that. I think that is so special.

'I hope she really does decide to play football, because it's been wonderful and taught me so much. I really appreciate that.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
