«Breaking News» Millennials are forgoing traditional bridal heels in favour of comfort on their wedding day

It will certainly lend a competitive edge to a runaway bride.

For today’s millennials are increasingly getting married in a pair of blinged-up trainers – foregoing traditional bridal heels in favour of casual comfort for the walk up the aisle.

The latest bizarre wedding trend was sparked by tennis star Serena Williams, who wore a bespoke pair of Nikes for her wedding to Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian last year. And now, there is a flourishing market in bejewelled, embroidered and sequined white leather trainers made especially for brides.

Charlotte Mills, a Manchester-based wedding shoe designer, says she has recently seen a big increase in demand for her bridal-trainer personalisation service, where a pair of the trainers are embroidered with flowers and the bride and groom’s initials for £150.

She said: ‘Brides want something unique. Many pack them to wear on their honeymoons and love the all-day comfort and fun of them on their big day.’

And while bridal trainers are already here, the next big thing – according to Harriet Hampton, manager of bridal store Suzanne Neville’s flagship London branch – is wedding gowns with built-in pockets. She said: ‘The casual luxury trend is growing and if a gown has pockets it can be the absolute clincher.’

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
