«Breaking News» Marco Asensio insists he never thought about Real Madrid exit

Marco Asensio has revealed that he never considered a Real Madrid exit this summer, despite seeing his opportunities limited at the Bernabeu.

Asensio, 22, often found himself behind the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in the pecking order at the La Liga club last season.

But the Spain international, who scored for his country in midweek, has insisted that he never thought about a departure over the summer and remains happy at the club.

Asensio has started all three of Real's league games at the start of the new campaign

'I've never had the intention to go anywhere.' he told reporters after Spain's 6-0 UEFA Nations League win over Croatia.

'This is my third season. In this one I think I have continuity and more prominence, and I'm seeing [improvement in] the performances I'm doing.'

Ronaldo's transfer to Juventus, coupled with former Spain Under 21 coach Julen Lopetegui's appointment at the Bernabeu during the close season, has seen Asensio assume a more prominent role this time around. 

The ex-Real Mallorca man has started all three of Real's league matches so far this campaign, setting up a goal in the 4-1 home win over Leganes at the start of the month.

His performances at club level have also seen greater opportunities fall his way at international level, and he played 90 minutes in the thumping of Croatia on Tuesday evening.

Asensio doubled Spain's lead in the 33rd minute at the Estadio Martínez Valero, while he also set up three goals for his team-mates as Spain ran riot.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
