Inter Milan are eager to tie down two of their most important players to new contracts in order to fend off interest from Manchester United.
Striker Mauro Icardi and defender Milan Skriniar have been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, but Inter are determined to keep hold of the pair, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Captain Icardi has also been linked with Real Madrid, Juventus and Chelsea, but Inter want him to sign a new contract that runs until the summer of 2023, with his current deal set to expire in 2021.

Icardi, 25, has scored an impressive 107 goals in 184 appearances for Inter since he joined the club from Sampdoria in 2013.
Skriniar, meanwhile, possesses vast potential, with the 23-year-old having produced some excellent displays at the heart of the Inter defence.
With United manager Jose Mourinho not satisfied with his current central-defensive options a move for the Slovakia international would make sense.
However, Inter aren't willing to sanction the departure of Skriniar, whose deal runs until the summer of 2022.
Inter have struggled for consistency in the early stages of the season – they have won one, drawn one and lost one of their three Serie A fixtures so far.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
