England Under-21 coach Aidy Boothroyd has expressed concerns regarding Dominic Solanke's lack of playing time for Liverpool.
Solanke made 27 appearances for Liverpool last season but has yet to feature for Jurgen Klopp's side this campaign and hasn't even made the bench.
The striker is in the England U21 squad to face Holland and Latvia and trained with the senior side this week, but Boothroyd implored Liverpool to give Solanke more playing time.
Dominic Solanke hasn't played a single minute for Liverpool since the start of the season
As reported by The Mirror, Boothroyd said: 'I'm really pleased with Dom but I'm also a little bit worried about him because he is not getting the minutes and not getting the games.
'I am happy on the pitch picking the best players, but for the good of England and for the good of British football it would be nicer if we had more players playing, certainly better for us and for them.

'Our players have proved they can do it at international level but not as many of them as there should be are getting the opportunity to do that in the Premier League.'
Solanke progressed through the ranks at Chelsea's academy but made just one competitive appearance for the first team before signing for Liverpool in 2017.
The prospect made his senior England debut against Brazil last year but faces a battle to get back into Gareth Southgate's squad.
During the transfer window Solanke was linked with a loan move away from Anfield but that failed to materialise. He will hope to play some part against former club Chelsea in the Carabao Cup later this month.
However, with Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge ahead of him in the pecking order, it will be difficult for Solanke to command regular playing time this season.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
