«Breaking News» Denmark's Kasper Schmeichel claims Ryan Giggs has stamped his Man United DNA on Wales

Ryan Giggs has already stamped his Manchester United DNA on Wales with his desire to play attacking, attractive football and pro-youth philosophy.

That is the verdict of Denmark and Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, who will attempt to stop Gareth Bale and Co from scoring on Sunday.

Wales - pictured stepping off their plane later than scheduled on Saturday night in Aarhus due to earlier delays - face the Danes in their Nations League clash and Schmeichel watched Giggs' 4-1 rout of the Republic of Ireland on Thursday.

He can already see signs of Giggs' United history in the Welsh side and said: 'Take the last game, you can see the flair and spark that they play with.

'It's very similar to the DNA he inherited at Manchester United and it will be very interesting to see what he can bring. He's got a very talented squad with Wales.

'It is something that Gary Speed started, Chris Coleman worked really well, and now Ryan is putting his own stamp on it. Judging on the last game, he's had a really good start.

'It will be very interesting to see where he can bring them. He (Bale) is a world class player. Wales are full of good players. You always want to play against the best and he is definitely one of them.

'Their front line is very, very good, very dynamic, they have a lot of players who like to score goals from distance. We all know Gareth Bale. We will have to be on top of our game to beat them.'

Denmark manager Age Hareide is someone who knows United under Sir Alex Ferguson well.

Hareide, during his days as Molde manager, sold Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to United in 1996 and watched Ferguson training sessions while coach of Norway.

He too can see signs of Giggs' Class of 92 credentials and added: 'They had young players in there and the skill and the pace of the game (against Ireland) was good.

'It's like Ryan Giggs has created a copy of the old Man United game. I've seen United a lot through the years. I watched United a lot at that time (under Ferguson).

'The way Wales play, with lots of enthusiasm in their play offensively, they play very, very quick between the lines and they go forward with a lot of people.

'It looks like United in the best period under Sir Alex Ferguson. Of course Ryan Giggs has adopted (their style). He knows the style. It's natural for him to adopt the best of Man United.'

Meanwhile, Leicester's Mike Stowell has flown to Denmark to work with Schmeichel because Lars Hogh, Denmark's usual goalkeeping coach, has cancer.

Sunday's game goes ahead despite significant turmoil in the build-up.

Wales' private plane encountered a technical fault on Saturday night, leaving the team significantly delayed as they did not arrive at their hotel in Aarhus until after midnight.

Denmark's senior players have been embroiled in a high-profile and public row with their association over image rights and almost did not play.

They could be booed by their own fans at Ceres Park as a result.

On those disruptions and distractions, Hareide said: 'We had one (training session) yesterday and one today so that would be two. It's OK. All the players are fit and experienced. No excuses.

'We watched our opponent and they did an excellent job against Ireland. They will be a handful. We will try to do our best.'

Wales...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
