He made a dramatic return to the Street last week, under the guise he had discovered his long-lost daughter Katie.
But Coronation Street fans were left sick to their stomach by Jim McDonald on Wednesday night, as he proceeded to kiss the woman presumed to be his surprise offspring.
Taking to social media in fury, viewers were outraged to hear that Katie was in fact an impostor and Jim's lover, and the pair were working together to con his ex-wife Liz out of her savings in revenge for letting him rot in prison.

The episode began following Jim's (Charlie Lawson) bombshell to Liz (Beverley Callard) that their daughter was actually alive, more than 30 years after she was led to believe her baby died minutes after birth.
Liz was left with the difficult decision of whether to reunite and reconnect with her daughter, as Jim admitted he had tracked her down.
In touching scenes Katie (Hannah Ellis Ryan) shared an emotional reunion with Liz, after struggling to contain their emotions, with Jim explaining she had been renamed 'Hannah' by their adoptive parents.

But despite it seeming that the family could be set to rebuild their special bond, the true nature of 'Katie's' arrival was revealed minutes later.
In a private car chat with Jim, he joked that she had been 'a good daughter,' to which she replied: 'Don't call me that, you know I'm neither.'
The pair then proceeded to share a steaming kiss which left viewers outraged at this surprisingly incestuous relationship.
But later 'Katie's' true identity was revealed, with the brunette posing as Liz's daughter as part of Jim's plan to con her out of her savings, to enact revenge on her and the couple's son Steve for letting him rot in prison.

Fans were left sickened by the plot, as not only did it sit uncomfortably that Jim was having a relationship with his 'daughter' but they also slammed producers for the story which flew in the face of Liz's tragic loss decades earlier.
Actress Beverley was praised for her performance in the 1992 scenes when her baby daughter was born prematurely and died hours later, especially as such a plot had not been substantially covered in soap before that point.
One tweeted: 'The Macdonald storyline is #sick!!! How could Jim do something so horrific to Liz.'
Another added: 'Didn't but this whole jim/katie storyline... he has never been smart enough to make this up and Liz has always been important to him!'

Of course it now remains to be seen whether Jim and Katie's plan will be exposed by Liz or one of her loved ones, especially as Steve will demand a DNA test next week.
Other fans have already claimed Jim's plan will implode as he cannot hide his long-lasting love for Liz, especially as he still called her 'my Elizabeth.'
Adding fuel to the fire, actor Charlie Lawson recently told Digital Spy: 'Jim just wants Liz back, but by that stage, he's in too deep.
'It gives the character a sort of redemption, which is important. Jim's never been a bad man, he just makes mistakes as every man does.'
Coronation Street continues on Friday 14th September at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
What's next? Fans will have to wait and see whether the plan plays out, as fans hinted that Jim may not be able to hide his long-lasting love for Liz

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
