Ryan Thomas has admitted he would 'forgive' Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett, as he was crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2018.
The former Coronation Street star, 34, admitted that he thought the star had 'been punished by the public enough,' after she accused him of 'punching' her in a playful exchange.
Ryan beat finalists Kirstie Alley, Gabby Allen, Dan Osborne, Nick Leeson and Sally Morgan to be crowned champion, and was greeted by a thunderous reception from crowds outside the Elstree house and watching at home, who rushed to Twitter to praise his gracious response to the incident.
Jovial: The star appeared in shock as he left the house to thunderous cheers and fireworks from fans, and went onto finally see the fallout of the 'punch' incident
In a candid interview with host Emma Willis, Ryan was offered the chance to finally see the so-called 'punching' clash with Roxanne, and despite some reluctance and some cheers from the crowd he eventually agreed.
His reaction was plain for viewers to see, as Ryan appeared somewhat shocked and angry to see parts of the fallout, when Roxanne cried to Big Brother that he should be removed from the house.
He said to Emma: 'It was totally unexpected, it was a sign of affection that I've used on Gabby and the boys and unexpected because there was nothing in it.
Cute: After he was revealed as the winner Kirstie planted a cute kiss on Ryan, as she made her exit from the house as runner-up

Delighted: Fans rushed to social media to congratulate Ryan on his victory, praising his gracious response to the 'punch' incident as many branded him a 'true gentleman'
Tense: The victory also meant Ryan finally got to see his apparent 'punching' of Roxanne, thought he at first seemed reluctant to watch the moment back
Controversial: Thousands of viewers complained to media watchdog OfCom after Roxanne accused Ryan of 'punching' her in the ribs
'As it unravelled it became bigger and bigger the whole thing that scared me was that she couldn't stay in the room with me. That rang alarm bells and the game became real life for me, I don't know how much they showed, I did break.'
As Emma explained that viewers had seen his heartbreaking moment Ryan broke down in tears in the Diary Room, the soap star admitted: 'I had no choice I was a scared little boy. The place is lonely anyway, these are people that you grow a friendship with, your trust is in a different place, the one thing that held onto me is Sally, she's been my mother since day one.
'We all know how something can stick on a man, sometimes it can be done in the right way, or the wrong way, I just wanted out I just wanted to get out, I thought I'd be getting a call from the police very soon, that's not me, for once in my life I was glad that we had 24 hour surveillance on them.'
Emotional: After watching the incident, Ryan admitted he would forgive Roxanne, adding: 'If she wants forgiveness and it makes it better I would rather give her that, I think she's been punished enough by the public'
Over the moon: A majority of the CBB class of Summer 2018 were in attendance for the finale, with Rodrigo Alves and Roxanne noticeably absent
Casual: In contrast to the suit he wore to enter the house, Ryan went for a casual white t-shirt and trousers combo as he waved to fans in the finale's last moments
Viewers spent days protesting that Ryan deserved to see the incident while he was still in the house, but Ryan added that he understood why he was kept in the dark until his exit.
'Big Brother doesn't want to hear anything and I understand that, but for me i have to thank everyone because it was clarification that even though Ben was leaving, for selfish reasons I needed to hear the public say that name, I wouldn't have been able to relax.'
Emma then went onto ask Ryan whether he could forgive Roxanne for her behaviour, and ever-gracious he admitted: 'For me I have the best network of family and friends, I've got the best mates in the world some here today, if this person has an issue and a misunderstanding who am I to sit there and judge?
'Forgiveness is a big thing, and this is a horrible place if you get it wrong, and I don't want to be a part of that, if she wants forgiveness and it makes it better I would rather give her that, I think she's been punished enough by the public.'
Devastated: Ryan broke down in tears in the Diary Room last week and said he's a 'broken' man after Roxanne accused him of 'punching' her
Roxanne's claims that she was significantly hurt by Ryan's 'punches' led him to received a formal warning from Big Brother, though fans protested his innocence.
Ryan broke down in tears after hearing the crowd chanting 'Get Roxy Out' at a live eviction, admitting he had been left a 'broken man' following the claims that he assaulted her.
He sobbed in the Diary Room: 'I've done nothing, I don't understand how she can do this. I don't understand it.'
'I've got to get this show back on the road now and I have to make amends, I don't feel like I'm the one making amends but I'll be the bigger person.
'I'm not going to lie, it's broken me a little, and if I've offended someone, or done something wrong, I am so sorry. But I will not walk away from this, I'm not a quitter, I'm genuinely not.'
By this point many housemates had began to doubt Roxanne's story, as Big Brother told Dan Osborne that had her tale been true Ryan would have been removed from the house.
I'm done! Tensions continued to run high as Roxanne took to the Diary room to hit back at the actor, and said: 'He's lying', and later decided to quit the Channel 5 show
Slammed: Roxanne appeared to backtrack her accusations upon leaving the CBB house, and was slammed by viewers for saying she 'got it wrong' in an interview with Emma Willis
And after seeing the row upon being evicted, both Ben Jardine and Jermaine Pennant have admitted they felt 'mugged off' by Roxanne's claims.
And following the eviction of Ben Jardine - with whom she formed a close bond in the house - Roxanne headed to the Diary Room that evening and demanded to leave the house.
She said: 'No one likes me. You took my favourite person away, how am I going to get through this s**t now. I can't do this anymore, I want to go home, I need to be around normal people.
'This is awful to be isolated like this, I'm done. I'd rather work in a corner shop for the rest of my life and be on rations than put myself through this.
'I don't need the fame or fortune for this, I can't do it, I need out, I'm going home.'
The fallout regarding Ryan and Roxanne's clash continued in the days since her departure, with the actress appearing on Jeremy Vine and a Big Brother eviction show to confess she got things wrong.
Speaking to CBB host Emma Willis, Roxanne appeared to rebuff her claims, admitting: 'I needed to come and tell everyone that I got it wrong, I'm human, I made a massive, massive, horrible mistake.'
When asked by Emma whether she felt she could be forgiven for the ordeal, the ex-Emmerdale star said: 'I would hope that I could be [forgiven].'

He told Emma: 'You get close to the people who are in the house with you.
'It's right in so many ways as well, you look for the important qualities who are important to you. It's those qualities that you rely on throughout the process.
'The good things in the people, you observe some things that are wrong and you choose your time and make your point, Gabby said to me last night when you say something it can be quite brutal.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
