Celebrity Big Brother winner Ryan Thomas was greeted with huge praise on social media after walking away victorious on Monday evening.
The 34-year-old former Coronation Street star was lauded by his co-stars, friends, family and fans after leaving the house following a controversial stint in which he was accused of being a 'woman beater' by housemate Roxanne Pallett.
After what was later described as 'Punchgate', Ryan's supporters - including ex-CBB star Luisa Zissman - insisted his win was a mark of 'karma' towards Roxanne, while others lavished praise on him for behaving like 'a gentleman'.

After leaving the house on Monday, Ryan admitted he would 'forgive' Emmerdale actress Roxanne, as he was crowned the winner of CBB.
The former soap star, admitted that he thought the star had 'been punished by the public enough,' after she accused him of 'punching' her in a playful exchange.
Ryan beat finalists Kirstie Alley, Gabby Allen, Dan Osborne, Nick Leeson and Sally Morgan to be crowned champion, and was greeted by a thunderous reception from crowds outside the Elstree house and watching at home.
Twitter was swiftly flooded with praise for the hunky star, with Roxanne's Emmerdale co-star Kelvin Fletcher writing: 'I told you that you’d win Absolutely made up for you lad @ryanjamesthomas #CBBFinal'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
