«Breaking News» Bec Hewitt shares flashback of her Home and Away debut after discussing her return to TV

She is best known for her eight year stint on Home And Away as Hayley Smith.

And Bec Hewitt has taken to Instagram, on Friday, to mark 20 years since her debut by share a flashback of her first appearance of the long running soap.

In the video, the young starlet is in character and appears disheveled, hiding behind a bush.

Reminiscing her time on screen, she wrote in the caption, '20 years ago today Hayley Smith made her first appearance in Summer Bay! 

The former actress continued, 'Memories I’ll cherish forever and friendships to last a lifetime. #thankyouhomeandaway #1998.'

Bec's throwback comes after she recently spoke to Stellar about her return to TV as a travel presenter for Nine Network's new series Helloworld.

'I'll feel a little strange. Like I lost my right arm,' she said about travelling without her three kids Mia, 12, Cruz, 9, and Ava, 7, who she shares with husband tennis star Lleyton Hewitt

'I'll be like, ''What am I missing?'' and my hand luggage will be that bit lighter without all the snacks to keep them [kids] going.'

The former Home And Away star went on to say that taking a break from acting was never her plan, it was something that just happened naturally.

'It was never a choice – a decision – that I made [to quit acting]. It just naturally happened because, obviously, I wanted to be there with the kids. I don't want to miss anything,' she revealed. 

Bec quit acting in 2005. Later that year she tied the knot with Lleyton Hewitt after six weeks of dating.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
