'Our family is growing,' Mrs Bonell told the Today show as she laughed.
'But I'm not expecting. We are getting our very first two grandbabies. Our eldest daughter Brooke is expecting her first baby and our second eldest son and his wife is also expecting their first baby.
'So we get to be grandparents.'
Speaking about their thoughts on changing nappies all over again, Mr Bonell said: 'Yeah I can keep changing nappies, that's alright.
'I've been doing it for a few years now so I'm pretty confident.'
Today co-host Karl Stefanovic pressed Brooke Mathews - who's currently pregnant with her first baby - on whether she planned on having a large family like her mother.
'I don't think so,' she said, laughing.
'I think I'll just get through one. Let's get through one and see how I go after that and I think I'm a little behind of where I should be if I was going to have that many.'

Speaking fondly about her mother falling pregnant over the years, Brooke said: 'I don't think you understand what you go through with pregnancy until you do it yourself.
'I've watched mum go through it and yes, it's amazing some of the things I've experienced myself and I just turn to mum and go "is this a thing?" and she goes "yep, that happens".
'It's good to have her here for all the advice. I just think she's an amazing role model and a fantastic mum and I'm really glad she's my mum.'
The latest baby announcements just months after Mrs Bonell revealed she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer after doctors found seven lumps in her throat.
Her husband said he was devastated following the shock cancer diagnosis - as he feared about the heartbreaking possibility of having to raise the children on his own.

'You sort of always feel like you're bulletproof but obviously getting that news from the doctor did rock our world quite a bit,' he told A Current Affair in July.
'It's very scary knowing you may lose your life partner to a terrible disease like this, and then on top of our situation to have to raise 16 kids on your own is very, very scary. I definitely need her around to do that.'
The 49-year-old mother revealed how a routine check-up that was meant to go for 10 minutes led to a terrifying four-hour ordeal.
'It was a bit of a shock to go to a specialist and have them say the word "cancer" to me,' she said.
'You just never think it's going to be you so I was just really unprepared for that.'
When the parents broke the heartbreaking news to their children, they were met with mixed emotions.
'When we spoke to the kids, we had some that went really quiet, some burst into tears and some that weren't angry with me but I think they just wanted to push it away, they didn't want to know.' Ms Bonell said.
The parents spoke about their whirlwind journey after the mother was diagnosed with cancer
Against all odds, the mother was given a good prognosis after undergoing surgery to remove her thyroid.
She now has to get tested every six months for the next 15 years to ensure the cancer doesn't return.
Despite the cancer scare, the brave mother has since 'soldiered on' with her life to spend quality time with her loving brood.
'I've learnt that I'm loved, I think as mums we spend all our time serving other people and some days, not always, we feel unloved and taken for granted,' she said.
And with 16 children under her wing, Ms Bonell hasn't ruled out baby number 17.
'A lot of those doctors have gone "okay, I'm happy with your results, now go have more children", or maybe I have to wait for grandbabies,' she said, laughing.
Earlier this week, Ms Bonell hinted about having another baby.
'We're always open to being blessed again but Ray has just turned 50, though we always say it ain't over till it's over,' she told Woman's Day magazine.
The family recently celebrated two of their children getting married.
Last October, daughter Brooke tied the knot to her long term partner Jamie and in March this year, their son Karl got married to Claire in an intimate church wedding.
And more wedding bells are on the way after their third-born child Claire recently announced her engagement to Daniel - and their son Jesse proposed to his 'soulmate' April.
'No grandbabies yet but we're expecting a whole bunch in one go... then I will be back in baby heaven again,' Mrs Bonell said.
The couple have Jesse, 28, Brooke, 27, Claire, 24, Natalie, 23, Karl, 21, Sam, 20, Cameron, 18, Sabrina, 17, Tim, 15, Brandon, 13, Eve, 12, Nate, 11, Rachel, 9, Eric, 8, Damian, 7, and Katie, 4
In May last year, the family were left reeling after Mrs Bonell needed to undergo a life-threatening throat surgery to remove her thyroid.
She saw a doctor after she began experiencing a nagging cough, only to be told a number of cancerous nodules was found in her throat.
Astonishingly, she made a remarkable recovery after she fought against cancer.
'I've had to find a new way to live life fearlessly, knowing it's a type of cancer that could come back,' she told the magazine.
In September 2016, the mother told Daily Mail Australia she spends up to $600 a week on groceries to feed her family of 18.
The grocery bill would include 17 three-liter bottles of milk and 14 boxes of cereal, loaves of bread - and 45 tubs of yoghurt.
At home, she would do between six to seven loads of washing a day.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
