An art museum has been forced to deny rapper Kanye West will be teaching a course at the institution after he made the claims during a series of tweets.
Posting on social media on Sunday night, The College Dropout rapper said he would be teaching a course at the Art Institute of Chicago.
He also claimed he would teach at The American Academy of Art - an art school in downtown Chicago.
Kanye, who is from Chicago, offered no other details about the plans but then said he was going to restore the Regal Theater in the city, which has been shut since 2010 and perform a Chicago Comedy Jam show.
Initially it was not clear if Kanye was referring to the original Regal Theater in the city's Grand Boulevard neighborhood, which currently houses the Harold Washington Cultural Center, or the Avalon Regal Theater in the city's South Chicago neighborhood.

But the Chicago Sun-Times reported businessman Jerald Gary, who has been working to restore the Avalon landmark, confirmed he was working with the Graduation hitmaker.
The 41-year-old producer also said he would set up a Yeezy office of his clothing range in the city.
At 8.27pm he tweeted: 'I will teach a course at the Art Institute of Chicago and the American Academy of Art.'
He then added, 'we need to be overwhelmed with love and inspiration', after visiting the Stony Island Art Bank in Chicago.

Around two hours later Kanye then wrote: 'We're doing Chicago Comedy Jam. We're going to restore the Regal Theatre.'
Earlier he also tweeted: 'We're putting a Yeezy office in Chicago.'
But yesterday the Art Institute of Chicago denied the claim Kanye was going to teach a course at the 140-year-old institution, which is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the US.

A spokesman for the institute told NBC Chicago on Monday: 'We're flattered that Mr West would have an interest in teaching emerging artists and designers at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
'However, Mr West is not currently teaching at SAIC, and at this time, there are no plans for him to do so.'
Kanye also took to social media last week to apologize to fellow rapper Drake and comment on their recent feud.
Yesterday he also shared a photo of himself kissing seven-month-old daughter, Chicago, on the head.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
