«Breaking News» Lori Loughlin's sitcom character Aunt Becky had a school admissions scam storyline on Full House

Full House was known for being full of life lessons and Twitter thinks Lori Loughlin should have been paying more attention to them.

The actress is being dragged on social media for not taking her own advice from one specific 1990s episode of the hit show in the wake of a college admissions scandal.

This week the 54-year-old turned herself in to federal authorities after she was indicted on charges of bribery in order to get her daughters into a good college.

It did not take long for Twitter to draw comparisons between the current scandal and a 1993 episode of Full House, titled Be True to Your Preschool, with a similar storyline.

In season six of the iconic family sitcom, Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) exaggerates the academic credentials of the twin boys he shares with Aunt Becky (Loughlin) to get the kids into a prestigious preschool.

Jesse goes so far as to flat out lie and falsify documents in order to secure young Nicky and Alex spots at the upper crust institution.

Loughlin's character comes clean in the episode about Jesse's lies to the school and later has a heart-to-heart with her on-screen husband, telling him that the school really doesn't matter.

Charges: Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to get their daughters Olivia Jade, 19, and Isabella, 20, into USC

'I know you want what's best for them, but you know what?' Loughlin said, reciting her lines. 'Maybe the fast track isn't it. Nicky and Alex are normal, healthy kids and whatever track they're on, they seem to be doing okay.'

On Tuesday, Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to get their daughters Olivia Jade, 19, and Isabella, 20, into USC.

Prosecutors say they pretended the girls rowed crew to pass them off as athletic recruits when neither was interested in the sport.

Social media: Twitter users had a field day poking fun at the irony of the Full House episode and Loughlin's current predicament

Many on social media thought Loughlin should have known better since Uncle Jesse tried to pass the twins, who were too young to speak coherent English, as bilingual bassoon players.

'This is just like that time Aunt Becky and Uncle Jesse tried to lie about how smart the twins were to get them into that super elite preschool by putting them in berets and pretending they knew French and s**t,'tweeted one person.

'Maybe #AuntBecky should've taken her own advice from the 1993 episode of Full House 'Be True To Your Preschool' that it doesn't matter what school your kids go to as long as they're happy and well-adjusted,' another posted.

And, in season one of William H. Macy's show Shameless, his intelligent onscreen son Lip (Jeremy Allen White) is paid to take the SATs for underperforming fellow students and is caught.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
