«Breaking News» Grandmother, 65, dies in house blaze less than four hours after warning to police about ex

A grandmother died in a house fire just hours after her daughter had warned police about her ex, relatives have claimed.

Jacqueline Allen, 65, was babysitting her 12-year-old granddaughter Millie on Saturday when the fire broke out.

Four hours earlier, relatives of Jacqueline's daughter Mandy had allegedly asked police to visit the home after the arrival of Millie's father Simon Childs, 51.

Millie broke her ankle jumping from a first-floor window after the fire broke out at Jacqueline's home in West Malling, Kent.

She managed to escape the house but later died in hospital from her injuries.

Childs, who reportedly separated from Mandy last month after 16 years of marriage, appeared in court on Tuesday charged with the murder of Jacqueline.

Childs also faces a count of attempted murder of his daughter Millie. He is yet to plead to either charge.

Kent Police are now being investigated over its conduct before the fire, in which a dog was also killed. 

A relative told The Sun: 'Mandy phoned the police every time he visited. This time they had been phoned at about 5.30pm by a family friend.

'The police said they would send someone round and the family friend said: "This is desperate, I'm begging you. If you don't come and sort this out something bad is going to happen".'

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: 'Due to previous police contact relating to the man who was arrested and charged, Kent Police has made a referral to the Independent Office of Police Conduct.

'A referral to the IOPC is mandatory in these circumstances.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
