«Breaking News» Tatler star Lady Lola Crichton-Stuart shares heartbreaking post to the 'love of her life'

An emerging artist from a prestigious New York family has been remembered by family and loved ones following his death aged 19.

Kai Schachter, son of art dealer Kenny Schachter and artist Ilona Rich Schachter and grandson of Denise and Marc Rich, is understood to have taken his own life in London last Monday, Page Six reported

British society beauty Lady Lola Crichton-Stuart, daughter of the 7th Marquess of Bute, was among those who paid tribute to Kai on Instagram, describing him as the 'love of her life'.

'My heart will always be YOURS, Kai Kai,' the 19-year-old wrote in a moving post shared last week. 'The love of my life and now my guardian angel forever.'

Meanwhile close friend Rafferty Law, 22, son of Jude Law and Sadie Frost, wrote eloquently of the loss of his 'friend' and 'brother' before urging followers to speak out about mental health issues.

Page Six reported Kai was 'heartbroken over a busted romance' before his death, although this has not been confirmed. It is not known whether Lady Lola and Kai were in a relationship at the time. A representative for Lady Lola declined to comment.

The socialite, who appeared in the February issue of Tatler with her mother Serena Bute, often posted about Kai and thanked him for the 'best year of her life'.

On Valentine's Day Lady Lola wrote: 'Thank u for making me the happiest person in the world & thank u for putting up with me ! i love u forever [sic].'

Last Tuesday she shared a post saying goodbye to Kai, writing: 'Thank u for being the light of my life. knowing you and loving u was the best thing that ever happened to me [sic].'

On Tuesday last week, the day after Kai is understood to have died, the socialite shared a gallery of photos of them together, including the one above, alongside the caption: 'you and i forever and ever. thank you for the best year of my life. thank you for showing me what love is'

She wrote another lengthy tribute to Kai four days ago, in which she said: 'The thought you were in pain and suffering in silence breaks my heart. I wish I could have done more to save you.'

She added: 'I cannot wait to meet again some day soon and catch up on all our lost time and do all the things we planned to do together in another life. I love you endlessly forever and ever my baby.'

In the last 48 hours Lady Lola has shared photos of what is believed to be a memorial for Kai, in which paper lanterns were released into the sky. She wrote: 'We sang to you. my best friend, my love, my other half forever.'

Friends have offered their support to Lady Lola, including Sadie Frost, who wrote: 'Sending love'.

Kai, whose artwork had been shown in galleries in London and the US, was a member of a fashion-art-music collective co-founded by Rafferty Law, known as Raff.

The talented teenager was one of four children of Ilona Rich Schachter and Kenny Schachter.

His brother, Adrian Schachter, was also an artist and the pair previously lived together in a New York apartment featured in the pages of Vogue Italia.

In a statement to Page Six, the Rich and Schachter families said: 'Kai’s death is a devastating loss, he was a hugely gifted artist with a wonderful spirit and a sense of humor that touched everyone he met.

'The family is asking for privacy at this time as they take time to grieve and gather all of the details.'

Kai's grandfather was the late financier Marc Rich, who fled to Switzerland amid a tax evasion scandal in 1983 and did not return to the US before his death in 2013.

He was pardoned by President Bill Clinton on his last day in office in 2001.

The pardon itself was dogged by controversy as it was claimed it had been granted in exchange for the $1million in contributions his ex-wife Denise Rich had paid to the Democratic Party.

At a congressional hearing into whether the pardon was granted in exchange for her contributions, Denise Rich invoked the Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which denies the government power to compel self-incrimination.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
